Mimosa lives in Tucker, GA and is a Bombay/Domestic Short Hair mix with a short, black coat. She’s a young, medium-sized, spayed female, fully house trained and vaccinated. She prefers to be an only pet and would love to find a calm, loving home where she can finally relax and feel safe.

About Mimosa

Some cats need time before they can trust the world again. Mimosa, though, took a chance and decided to try. When she came in, she was starving and sick, but still doing whatever she could to keep her two kittens alive outside. Even through obvious fear and exhaustion, Mimosa had this quiet gentleness about her. She let us treat her and handle her medicine, almost as if she sensed we were trying to help for the first time. Mimosa is incredibly soft-natured and sensitive. She prefers to walk away from conflict, and peace truly matters to her. That’s why she does best as the only pet in the home—she needs her own space and calm to decompress and trust fully. When Mimosa feels safe, she will become your devoted shadow, quietly following you around, curling up next to you in bed, leaning into gentle pets, and gazing at you with grateful eyes. She loves chasing after wand toys and feathers, and she’s happiest burrowed in a cozy bed or sunning herself in a window while keeping you company. She’s about a year and a half old—still young, though she’s already survived more than most cats. After everything Mimosa has been through, all she wants is love, security, and a person of her own. If you’re looking for a gentle, loyal cat who truly appreciates her second chance, you’ll want to meet Mimosa. Start your journey together! Apply now.
