About Laika
Laika is a petite 6-year-old, tipping the scales at just around 35 lbs, and she's making real strides when it comes to trusting people and settling in. Early on, Laika kept to herself, often trying to make herself invisible in her kennel, clearly unsure of the world around her. But give her a little time and patience—like she had hanging out in the office with Hushpuppy Hank—and she starts to bloom. There's a genuine sweetness to Laika that comes out in calm, safe settings. She enjoys cuddling and does well with other dogs, showing patience and even amusement with energetic puppies. Now that she's in a foster home, Laika is truly finding her footing, happy to play and even indulge some puppy mischief—there’s no drama, just a gentle dog learning how good life can be when she’s among friends.
