About Jodie
Jodie turned her luck around after coming into the city shelter in rough shape—vomiting and unable to sit up on her own. After urgent veterinary care, she bounced back and has been growing stronger every day in her loving foster home. Jodie’s a beagle mix through and through: she’ll keep you laughing with her silly antics, her nose-to-the-ground curiosity, and the occasional hound-style yodel. She thrives on playtime and isn’t shy about using her voice, so she’ll fit best with people who appreciate that lively hound energy. Raising a puppy like Jodie calls for patience and structure, especially since she’s eager to explore and learn. Potential adopters need to be ready for a young dog’s demands and the mischief (and fun) that come with them. She won’t leave foster care until after June 15, and local applicants around Houston are prioritized, though out-of-state folks may be considered. If you want a resilient, spirited pup with plenty of hound charm, Jodie’s ready to meet you. Fun fact: With a February 26 birthday, Jodie is a Pisces—maybe that’s where the sweetness comes from.
