Meet Eden — a gentle little soul with the sweetest heart and so much love to give. Eden is an easygoing 4-year-old Chihuahua mix who absolutely adores her people. Whether she’s dancing for treats, soaking up the sunshine by the window, cuddling on the couch during TV time, or sleeping cozied up on your pillow, Eden simply wants to be close to the ones she loves. She also enjoys the companionship of other dogs and would thrive with a playful canine friend in her forever home. Eden’s journey hasn’t been easy. The very day she gave birth to six puppies, she was surrendered to a shelter because her owner said they had “too many dogs.” Tragically, three of her puppies did not survive. Thankfully, a foster stepped in, and Eden proved herself to be an incredibly attentive and protective mama. Because of what she’s been through, it took her time to trust — but once she lets you into her heart, she becomes your loyal best friend. Eden is timid at first and needs patience while adjusting to new people and environments. She can be especially wary of men and may bark when visitors arrive, so a quieter home rather than apartment living would likely suit her best. With love, consistency, and time to settle in, Eden blossoms into a devoted and affectionate companion. She’s currently working hard on house training, uses potty pads, and is learning house manners. She’ll also need continued leash training, but she’s a very smart girl who wants to please. Eden is even making progress toward becoming friends with cats. This sweet girl deserves a calm, understanding home where she can finally feel safe, cherished, and loved forever.
