Theo is two years old, FIV positive, and one of the sweetest cats we have got. He is talkative and affectionate in equal measure, the kind of cat who will find you, start a conversation, and then settle in close because he simply enjoys your company. He is currently living alongside another male cat and holding his own just fine, which tells you something about his temperament — easygoing, social, and genuinely good-natured. He was shot with BB pellets before his arrival here. This poor sweet boy! Theo is FIV positive, which we know gives some people pause. It should not. FIV is not a death sentence, and it is not a reason to overlook a cat this wonderful. FIV positive cats live long, healthy, happy lives with regular veterinary care. The virus is not transmitted between cats through casual contact, and Theo is proof that an FIV positive cat can coexist peacefully with others. He simply needs an indoor home and an adopter who has done five minutes of reading on FIV and come out the other side ready to give a great cat a great life. Theo is that great cat.
