Meet Axel, a 1.5-year-old Labrador Retriever who weighs 88.5 pounds. This big, goofy boy is equal parts lovable and entertaining! He’s a happy, energetic guy who doesn’t quite realize just how big he is, so expect lots of enthusiasm and oversized affection. While he could use a little polishing on his manners, he’s eager to please and has all the makings of an incredible companion for someone ready to match his energy and strength. Because of Axel's size and exuberance, he’ll likely do best in a home with older or bigger children, so he doesn’t accidentally knock anyone. Wish Bone was told he’s dog-friendly, although he hasn’t yet officially been tested with dogs in our care. He also previously lived with cats and did well with them — even if the cats weren’t exactly his biggest fans. His minimum adoption fee is $300 plus a $15 fee, if 4 months or older, for rabies registration for McLean County residents. He has been neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, heartworm checked, dewormed, and is on flea and heartworm preventatives.
