Bumble came to our cat cafe with 15 other unaltered cats, including his brother, Hinge, and dad, Tinder, as well as his siblings/children/parents, and whatever else arose in the hoarding house he was born in. Bumble came in with a horrible skin infection and, like the rest of the kitties, severely underweight and frightened. After getting him past that and getting hime healthy, he and Tinder tested positive for panleukopenia, a highly contagious, untreatable and fatal feline disease. They both fought very hard and survived! Unfortunately, a mom and four of her babies from the house had it, too, but did not survive. Once Bumble got healthy and ready to be neutered, our veterinarian discovered he had a heart murmur. We specially ordered a snap test that indicates the stress the cat may have on the heart, indicating if the murmur is potentially a more serious, underlying disease. The test was negative, so the murmur is most likely benign. However, it is in Bumble, and his future adopter's, best interest for us to get an echocardiogram to ensure it is benign. While he is still gaining back the weight he lost from his illnesses, he is thriving in the cafe, almost ready to find his furever home!
