About Mrs. Alfie Meeps
Mrs. Alfie Meeps—affectionately called "MAM"—has lived quite a story. Adopted in Illinois in 2012, she made her way to Florida and spent her golden years with people who cared about her. After her original family could no longer keep her and her second guardian passed away, Mrs. Meeps was last known to be with a friend’s husband. Somehow, she was later found roaming in Ybor, Tampa, with no clear trail—only she knows how she got there. Fourteen years old, though she acts younger, Mrs. Meeps enjoys life’s comforts, especially naps and snuggles. She adores attention, bows her head for kisses, and will loaf happily in your lap for as long as you let her. Her recent checkup uncovered early kidney disease, which is common at her age and managed with a kidney-friendly diet. Everything else looks good, and she’s had a fresh dental cleaning too. She thrives on human company and has little patience for other cats—but is content to set boundaries and coexist if needed. Her feelings about dogs are still undecided, but she currently shares her space with some small ones and mostly keeps to herself. She does well with children, making her a sweet, gentle senior for a calm household. Every animal deserves a happy ending. This one starts with you.
