AvailableAlphonse is a small, neutered male Bichon Frise, approximately six years old, currently in Jacksonville, IL. He has received all age-appropriate vaccinations. About Alphonse
Alphonse and his two brothers came to the rescue after a rough start, likely Bichon Frise mixes with maybe some poodle tossed in. These boys didn't get much human attention before now, so Alphonse is a bit hand shy and still figuring out that snuggles and being picked up lead to good things. He’s about 19 pounds, six years old, and, while on the reserved side, has a genuinely sweet nature. Alphonse gets along with other dogs and appreciates the company of gentle canine friends. He needs a calm, quiet home with patient people who will give him time and space to feel safe and build his confidence. Watch him gradually come out of his shell and blossom with the right family willing to move at his pace. Alphonse was born in early May, making him a determined Taurus—known for their loyalty.
