About Rhett

Meet Rhett! Rhett is a delightful combination of sunbather, professional cuddler, backyard explorer, and household peacemaker. Since his arrival in foster care, he has quickly shown his wonderful personality, being sweet, loving, and incredibly affectionate. Imagine his perfect day: wake up, find a sunny spot in the yard, stretch out, explore, chew on his favorite NylaBone, and then cuddle with his people. A fenced yard would be ideal for Rhett, where he can roam and soak up sunshine. He’s adaptable enough to enjoy both laid-back days and more active adventures, making him suitable for a variety of households. Rhett truly loves people and is friendly with new faces. Although he may bark at strangers initially, he warms up quickly and shows them affection. He has been great with children ages 10-12, showering them with kisses and enjoying their playtime. Having lived with dogs, cats, and even chickens, Rhett’s patience shines through, especially with the rambunctious puppy in the house. He’s learned to coexist with cats, showing maturity by redirecting his energy elsewhere. A few things about Rhett include being house trained, having low-to-moderate energy, and loving chew toys and cozy spots. He enjoys car rides, is great on a leash, and is incredibly affectionate. Once in a while, he might "talk" by whining or whimpering, which only adds to his endearing personality. What Rhett seeks is simple: a loving family, a fenced yard to explore, lots of attention and warm cuddles, and some good chew toys. He's patient, gentle, goofy, and ready to be your good boy. If you’re looking for a perfect companion to share sunny afternoons and cozy evenings, Rhett is waiting for you! Every animal deserves a happy ending. This one starts with you.
