About Serafino

Kay and Serafino are a seriously bonded senior pair that came to us from a complicated 17 cat neglect situation. What does seriously bonded mean? We have not seen them NOT snuggling each other outside of meals and litter box time. They are gentle, quiet, and cautious but friendly. They will let you approach, and after they know you for a few days will happily accept pets. They are a pair that we love and are sad for in particular - in their previous situation, they chose to not leave their windowless room and may not have seen actual sunlight for a few years. They would do best in a quiet home with no children or dogs, but other cats are okay. Kay and Serafino deserve to live out their senior years together with all of the windows and sunny spots - could you be their person? Every PALS cat and kitten has been spayed/neutered, microchipped, tested negative for FeLV/FIV and is up-to-date on vaccinations. A note about kittens: if you are adopting a kitten, they may need to complete their FVRCP (distemper) series and may not be old enough for their rabies vaccination. These essential vaccines will be the responsibility of their new owner. Detailed vet records and a calendar of vaccination due dates will be provided. The PALS Adoption Center, located inside PetSmart at 10 Traders Way in Salem, MA (just off Highland Ave/Rte 107) BY APPOINTMENT ONLY TO APPROVED ADOPTERS. Adoption applications can be found online at www.palscats.org. A completed application is not necessarily an approved application. We do ask for written landlord approval if you rent, or proof of home ownership (water bill, etc.) We will also check your vet references. You will be contacted by our adoption staff once your application has been approved. Please note it can take up to 48 hours. Our online sites are updated regularly, but we can not guarantee that a cat you see here is still available. Please email if you have any questions regarding the adoption process or our available cats and kittens. PALS is an all-volunteer, no-kill rescue group. Each and every cat and kitten has been rescued locally.
