When he arrived, Carlos needed serious care. He was very underweight and dealing with a painful skin condition, so our team got right to work helping him feel better. He’s been gaining weight, healing, and slowly starting to look more like the handsome shepherd he was always meant to be. Now that Carlos is feeling better, his personality is coming through. He’s smart, energetic, and ready to learn! This is a dog who wants something to do, someone to work with, and a life that gives his busy shepherd brain a real job. Training with Carlos won’t just be helpful, it could be really rewarding. He has that "teach me what you want and I’ll try my heart out" kind of energy. Carlos is looking for a cat-free home and would do best with kids around 10 and up. He’ll need continued exercise and patience as he settles into home life, but there’s so much good in this boy. He just needs someone willing to help him turn all that energy into something great. Carlos still has some settling in to do, and he’s more than ready for someone who will help him put that big shepherd brain to good use.
