About Jinx
Jinx is the watcher in the room, always on the outskirts at first, taking in every detail before choosing to trust. She isn't loud about needing affection, but if you notice, she asks for it in her own subtle, gentle ways. Early on, life threw her a tough challenge with FIP, which meant daily meds and constant handling when she didn't yet understand that humans could be safe. It was a stressful, demanding time that pushed her boundaries every day. But Jinx endured and came through the other side with a new understanding—hands can bring comfort and, as she recently discovered, some pretty excellent butt scratches. The trust she offers isn't given lightly, and that's what makes any connection with her feel so unique. She's still quite reserved and likely not a fit for a noisy household or lots of small children. Instead, she'd do best in a quiet home where people appreciate that good relationships with cats build slowly, over time. Jinx is a cat who will start by slow blinking across the room, moving a little closer each day until one afternoon you realize she's curled up nearby, fully choosing your company. Her gentle nature has stayed intact through everything she's faced. After all she's overcome, she's looking for someone willing to be patient and watch her continue to blossom.
