About Tia
Tia is resilient and smart, always eager to please and brimming with athletic energy. She's been waiting for a real home for over a year, stuck in the endless shuffle that so many black dogs face. Tia's days are fueled by play and the thrill of chasing after whatever you throw her way. She bonds deeply with people and thrives on affection and interaction. Training comes naturally to Tia—she learns quickly, especially when tasty treats are involved. She is food motivated and enjoys engaging with her people. Tia currently shares space with two other dogs and does guard her meals, so her caretakers simply feed the dogs separately. Still, she would do best as the only pet, craving that one-on-one connection and undivided attention. Tia responds well to those with previous dog experience, particularly folks who enjoy active dogs and want a loyal companion. She isn’t house trained yet, but she is reliable with a doggie door. At around two and a half years old, Tia is fully vetted, spayed, and ready to finally join a real family. She does not get along with cats but has coexisted with other dogs. Long overlooked but endlessly hopeful, Tia is ready to run, learn, and love with her new person. Your new best friend is just one click away.
