About Little Red URGENT

Little Red urgently needs a safe home—he’s fighting an upper respiratory infection and can’t heal in the shelter. He’s a 2-year-old Shepherd mix who’s been waiting since early May 2026 at the Kern County Animal Services - Bakersfield Shelter. Conditions for dogs at this shelter are tough, so Little Red’s rescue is time-sensitive. Staff love Little Red for his affectionate nature and loyalty. He works well on leash, enjoys cuddles, and gets along just fine with other dogs. This is a gentle, loving dog who clearly thrives on company and care. The adoption fee for Little Red is fully sponsored. If you’re on the West Coast, transportation can be arranged; otherwise, he’s in Bakersfield. Fosters must live in Kern County. Every animal deserves a happy ending. This one starts with you.
