About Ziggy
Ziggy is a large, senior hound and bully mix who recently lost his long-term foster home through no fault of his own. After his person was unable to find placement, Ziggy found refuge with the team at the sanctuary. At 12 years old, he still has plenty of personality to go around and doesn’t miss a beat when it comes to exploring new places. On his first day, he wasted no time investigating his surroundings and even managed to disassemble a staff member’s stuffed animal keychain. He traded the stuffing for another toy and carried on, completely unfazed by the changes around him. Ziggy brings a relaxed, easygoing attitude and it’s clear he’s comfortable wherever he lands. Staff and volunteers have all been taken in by his calm charm and friendliness. He’s house trained and has lived with other dogs before, proving himself to be an adaptable, social dog who gets along well with others. Ziggy is looking for a soft place to land and a person to share his gentle spirit with in Palmyra, VA. Click apply to start the adoption process.
