About Journey
Journey is currently thriving in foster care near Ft Worth, TX. He’s a black and white husky, about three and a half years old, who became a bit of a local legend after a hurricane rescue—he swam to shore while escaping a dangerous situation and made the news with his daring spirit. Since then, he’s learned the good life: regular meals, time indoors, and daily routines. Journey gets along well with most medium and large dogs, particularly females, and does well with school-aged kids. He isn’t suited to apartments and truly benefits from a securely fenced yard for running and play—no tie-outs or electric fences. He loves water, is a strong rider in the car, and knows his basic commands, though he’s not off-leash trained yet. Journey is current on all his shots, heartworm negative, on monthly preventives, microchipped, and neutered. He’s looking for a home where he’s part of the action and family life, whether with an active couple, family, or single adopter. If you’re outside Texas, transport can be arranged post-adoption.
