About Sir Purralot

Portia & The Royals A small family with a big story. Portia and her two kittens were picked up during a largescale TNR effort in West Point, MS. At first, we believed she might be the mother of Sir Purrsalot and Princess Purrdita — but after her trip to the spay clinic, we learned that wasn't possible. What was clear, though, was that Portia had been through a lot in her former home. She arrived not feeling well, and despite our best efforts, something just wasn't adding up. A visit to one of our local veterinarians finally revealed the truth: Portia had been bitten by a snake, and the wound had become infected and abscessed. Once she began to heal, her personality brightened, and she went right back to being attentive and devoted to the kittens she had claimed as her own. Her two little ones are everything you'd expect from healthy, happy kittens — curious, fun, wild, and excited about life. They're still a bit shy around newcomers and will need a home where children understand boundaries and can give them the space they need to warm up. With patience, they'll show their playful, silly sides in no time. If you're on a mission to save a life, you truly can't go wrong with any of these three. Portia and her kittens have already shown how much they want to trust and thrive, and they're ready for a home where they can finally settle in and be loved. And who knows — you may find that you needed them just as much as they needed you. Everybody loves kittens, and it's easy to see why! Kittens four months old or younger are only adopted out in pairs or to homes that already have a friendly, playful resident cat. Young kittens simply do not thrive in isolation, and we do not make exceptions. If you're looking for a single cat, please look to our older kittens, teens, or adults. They're wonderful companions and fully ready to be your one-and-only. All of the Sweet Paws animals are loved a great deal by their rescuers, fosters, and the volunteers who've cared for them along the way. Your kitten will be up to date on appropriate vaccinations by adoption day, but please keep in mind that kittens require multiple routine vet visits throughout the course of their first year. Sweet Paws is staffed by volunteers, and processing applications is time intensive; therefore, we ask that you only submit an application if you are fully committed to adopting.
