About Bear
Bear is a big, brindle mixed-breed Labrador Retriever who spent over a decade with his family before landing at the shelter. He weighs around 70-80 pounds and is fully house, crate, and potty trained. Bear does best with adults and older kidsāhe gets nervous around young children and does not do well with other dogs. Heās never been around cats, and truly just wants to be the sole focus of his new home. Bear is loving, friendly, and cuddly. He enjoys toys, walks, and being with his people. He does well on a leash, which makes walks pleasant, but other dogs should be kept at a distance. Sometimes Bear's silly side comes outāhe's known for swiping things from countertops! He can handle being left alone free-roaming in a room, though he might bark or whine a little. Bear is hanging out in a back kennel at the shelter, so donāt hesitate to ask for him by name if you visit. Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now!
