About Hen

Henrietta, better known as Hen, is a 5-year-old, 55-pound spayed female Husky mix in Candler, NC. She’s got the classic Husky streak—vocal, expressive, and eager to ‘talk’ through her day. Couch lounging, gazing out the window, and romping in the yard are her favorite pastimes, but walks are a thrill, and she gets especially excited when first setting out—just be ready for some enthusiastic leash pulling at the start. Hen is house-trained, crate-trained, and leash-trained. She’s up to date on all her vaccinations and recently passed her annual exam. Hen is happiest in a home without small dogs, cats, or young children. She’s dog selective and not a fit for households with small breeds, due to her past conflicts with small dogs. Her ideal situation includes a fenced yard and someone willing to shower her with attention—especially butt scratches, which she adores. Hen’s foster-turned-owner can no longer provide the environment she needs due to major life changes and is seeking a loving new home for her. If you want a sweet, sassy companion who’ll keep you company and let you know what’s on her mind, Hen fits the bill. Contact her current caregiver directly at sarahsekane@gmail.com or 828-674-9749 to talk about Hen’s adoption. Hen is not being adopted through Mountain Pet Rescue, so please do not contact them for Hen. Ready to fall in love? Hit apply and lets get started.
