About Mustang
Mustang is a big, dopey goofball who landed in rescue after his time as a stray in Tennessee. Believed to be a Plott Hound mix, possibly with some Great Pyrenees in the lineage, he sports brindle coloring and both back and front dew claws—an unusual and charming touch. At about three years old, Mustang is already neutered, vaccinated, and house trained. He's happiest lounging on the couch but perks up instantly for a car ride. Human companionship is where Mustang shines; he’s gentle and loyal with people and adores affection. He is playful, deeply loving, and a bit of a clown. However, Mustang doesn’t do well with cats and can be particular about his canine friends—he’s best placed with owners who can respect his preferences. He must have a fully fenced yard and, due to his needs, adopters are required to own their own home in NJ or select areas in PA. The rescue offers foster-to-adopt, allowing both Mustang and his future family time to be sure they’re the right fit for each other. Ready to fall in love? Hit apply and lets get started.
