About Bentley
Bentley is a medium-sized Boxer/Black Mouth Cur mix with short tan and cream fur. At five, he’s seen a few chapters—originally adopted as a pup and loved for years, a family move sent him searching for a new start. His second home showed him kindness, but his strong toy guarding behavior became an issue, especially around young children and other dogs who like to play with toys. For this reason, Bentley needs a household where toys won’t be scattered and where other dogs are laid-back or simply not interested in toys. He genuinely loves the company of other dogs and thrives around older kids who understand boundaries. Bentley’s energetic and playful on walks, enjoys new adventures, and has lost extra weight thanks to more activity. He can be stubborn and set in his bedtime routine but otherwise tries to follow the lead of a confident owner. He does best with dog-savvy adopters who appreciate a dog with preferences and opinions, rather than first-timers. Bentley is house trained, leash savvy, neutered, and vaccinated. He’s based in Corpus Christi, TX but can be transported almost anywhere in the US or Canada. Bentley is ready for stability, structure, and someone to give him the patience he’s earned.
