5/21/26: Meet Gustaf aka Moose! Moose has spent the last several months working hard on polishing his manners and becoming the best version of himself. He has even begun responding to the name "Moose," which suits his big personality perfectly. He walks very well on a prong collar and has made wonderful progress, but he will still need continued guidance and structure with a professional trainer to help him keep building on that success. Moose is housetrained and crate trained, making him an easier transition into a home environment. He is excellent with toddlers and children under 10 years old, showing a gentle and patient side with little ones that is truly special. He loves car rides and playing ball and is truly a goofy gentle giant. When it comes to other dogs, Moose does not get along with male dogs. However, he may be able to coexist successfully with the right female dog after proper introductions. He will do best in a home without cats. He will thrive best with an experienced owner who understands the importance of structure, consistency, and continued training. --- 2/2/26:Meet Gustaf! Gustaf is a big, playful puppy at heart who brings fun and personality everywhere he goes! This handsome boy absolutely loves bouncing through the snow, and he's become quite the expert at finding his tennis ball - even when it's buried. Gustaf may be a large dog with big paws, but he's truly a softie. He loves affection, especially chin scratches and ear rubs, and is very attentive to his people. Even when he's distracted or playing, he's quick to perk up and check back in with you. Like any young, playful pup, Gustaf is still learning his manners. He walks nicely on leash but may need occasional reminders to slow down and stay focused. He's eager to please, very friendly, and has a curious personality that sometimes leads to a little "FOMO" - he always wants to be part of the fun! Gustaf would make an excellent companion or playful family member for a home ready to continue his training, provide structure, and enjoy his fun-loving energy. One of Gustaf's favorite things in the world is playing ball-he's always ready for a game and would love an active home that can keep up with his energy. He's pleasant and friendly with people, enjoying attention and companionship from his human friends.
