About Cricket

Cricket is the shy half of a bonded sister pair who arrived on St. Patrick's Day, having been removed from a hoarding case with her sibling, Clover. You’ll find Cricket pressed into a corner, quietly watching, never making a move unless she truly must. After three months at the rescue, she’s easily the most shut-down dog here—more withdrawn than any before her. Petting is tolerated, not enjoyed, and nothing—not treats, not patience—has yet chipped away at her wary exterior. Cricket will need an adopter with deep reserves of understanding and the patience to help her feel safe, even if progress comes in slow, quiet steps. She does get along with other dogs and with cats, offering some hope for a calm multi-pet home. This isn’t a feel-good rescue story, not yet. The truth is, Cricket still waits for the right person to believe in her long enough to draw her out. What are you waiting for? Apply today!
