Ricky is a medium-sized, short-coated mixed breed with a handsome mix of apricot, chestnut, and fawn in his coloring. He’s an adult neutered male and up to date on vaccinations. House trained and energetic, Ricky is currently in Saugerties, NY. He does have special needs, so a committed adopter is important to help him thrive.

About Ricky

Ricky has spent most of his young life growing up inside a rescue, returned by his first family at only 9 months and waiting nearly 2 years for another chance. He’s a fun, energetic guy, quick to bond and always up for a romp outside. He loves running in the yard, chasing toys, and playing with dog friends who match his rough-and-tumble style. Ricky knows basic commands, is strong but good on leash, and is both crate trained and housebroken with a little routine—though he may need time to adjust since kennel life doesn’t mimic home life. This dog thrives on affection and routine, and he truly shines when he's with people. Ricky has a big heart and really does love everyone, but he needs to be the only dog in the house. Cats and small animals are not a fit for him. Older, sturdy kids are his kind of crowd—he’s a social dog who adapts to many environments but craves leadership and structure. Ricky deserves a home ready to nurture his playful, outgoing spirit and help him settle after all this time waiting. Ready to fall in love? Hit apply and lets get started.
