Meet Aqua - a gentle little soul with beautiful teal-blue eyes and a heart that blooms with patience and love. Born around 11/1/2025, this gorgeous grey-and-white tabby may be shy at first, but once she feels safe, her sweet personality quietly shines through. Aqua can be timid around new people and unfamiliar situations, and loud noises like vacuums or thunderstorms are definitely not her favorite things. She prefers to take her time getting comfortable and likes having a safe space where she can observe the world at her own pace. But for the people she trusts, Aqua is incredibly affectionate in her own gentle way. She'll approach for pets, rub against your legs, and purr loudly enough to let you know you've earned her approval. While she's not a fan of being held and prefers to keep all four paws firmly on the ground, she has grown braver and more social every day in foster care. Aqua is also a playful little hunter at heart. She loves toy mice, springs, tiny balls, and anything that skitters across the floor like prey. She can happily entertain herself, but she especially loves wrestling and chasing around with her best friend Arthur. And when playtime is over? You'll usually find her curled up somewhere cozy - ideally on top of a heating pad, which she considers one of life's greatest inventions. Arthur is Aqua's safe place, and the two share an especially deep bond. They must be adopted together. While Arthur boldly charges into every new adventure, Aqua is more likely to hang back and watch from a distance. In foster care, whenever Arthur wandered too far exploring, Aqua would eventually start crying for him rather than leave her comfort zone to search on her own. Without fail, Arthur would come running back to check on her. The two balance each other perfectly - Arthur gives Aqua confidence, and Aqua gives Arthur someone to love and protect. Aqua and Arthur are looking for a patient, understanding home that will allow Aqua the time she needs to settle in and feel secure.
