Sweet calico Spot, so named by a community caretaker for the distinctive orange marking on her face, was found raising two kittens on the street. It took several days to convince her to trust her finders, but ultimately the whole family was caught and brought safely indoors. Once inside, Spot was very nervous and protective, but after a few months of getting used to human contact—and with the help of a confident and social feline friend—Spot has finally come out of her shell! Spot first and foremost adores other cats and is the best playmate one could ask for. She is gentle and sweet with the resident senior cat, and rambunctious with the resident younger cat. Spot will call for attention with a high meow upturned like a question, and is frequently seen in a yoga pose in a patch of sunlight or climbing to the top of her cat tree for nap. She loves being pet around feeding time, and is just starting to jump up to lie next to you (provided you stay perfectly still, of course). Spot would benefit from a patient owner, calm environment, and especially other feline friends to play with. Spot is around a year old and is spayed, FeLV and FIV negative, current on shots, treated for fleas and worms, microchipped, and litter box trained. She is Athletic, Curious, Gentle, Independent, Playful, and Smart.
