About Maggie
Maggie landed in a crowded shelter in Bakersfield and got lost in the shuffleâshe shut down in her kennel. Once out, it turned out sheâs completely different when not overwhelmed: warm, silly, and wants nothing more than to be right by your side. Maggie bonds quickly with women, though is a little more unsure around men at first. Sheâs happiest with full access to her people and a sunny backyard where she can nap. She walks well on leash and doesnât react to other dogs out and about but does not tolerate cats and isnât comfortable with young kids, so she needs a home without them. If youâre looking for a true velcro dog whoâs housebroken, crate trained, and settles in easily once she trusts you, Maggieâs ready for a second chance. Born May 10, sheâs a Taurusâstubborn streak included. Letâs make it official, apply to adopt!
