She was rescued from Gyeongsan city shelter in South Korea and has steadily blossomed in foster care into a deeply affectionate companion who bonds closely with her people. While she may appear shy at first, Ailee is quietly observant rather than difficult. Once she feels safe, she becomes incredibly loyal, affectionate, and emotionally connected to her humans. ✨ Quick Facts • Age: 1 year • Sex: Spayed Female • Weight: 6.8 kg (~15 lbs) • Energy Level: Moderate • Rescue: Rescued from Gyeongsan city shelter • Health: Healthy with no known medical concerns • Preventatives: NexGard Spectra + Advocate given 4/25 🌿 Personality Ailee is a sensitive, gentle dog who forms strong emotional bonds once trust is built. • Initially shy with strangers • Becomes very affectionate and attached after settling in • Loves quietly following her trusted person around • Enjoys calm affection and physical closeness • Emotionally soft, observant, and very sweet-natured • Not demanding or hyperactive indoors Her foster notes that although they expected her adjustment to take a long time due to her timid personality, she adapted far faster than expected and successfully learned both outdoor walks and potty routines within the first month. 👨👩👧 With People & Children • Warms up to women more quickly than men • Men may require around 1–2 weeks of patient coexistence before she fully relaxes • Loves calm, gentle handling once bonded • Prefers quiet and predictable people over loud or overwhelming energy • Does well with calm, respectful children • Loud, fast-moving, or chaotic young children may overwhelm her 🐶 With Other Dogs Ailee is socially appropriate but somewhat introverted with other animals. • Generally neutral toward larger dogs • Quietly coexists with smaller dogs • May gradually become attached to a calm dog companion over time • Tends to observe and mimic confident dogs during walks • Does not seek rough play or chaotic dog interactions She currently lives peacefully with another female mixed breed dog in foster care, though they are more respectful roommates than active playmates. 🐱 With Cats • Shows little reaction to cats outdoors • Calm and manageable around them overall 🏠 Home Behavior • Extremely calm indoors • No destructive behavior whatsoever • Rests quietly while home alone • Independent and low-maintenance in the home • Prefers resting on her own cushion or cool floor surfaces • Sleeps independently rather than in bed with people She is described as an exceptionally easy and peaceful house companion. 🧠 Separation Anxiety • No separation anxiety • Comfortable being left alone during the workday • Quietly sleeps or relaxes while waiting for her person to return 🚽 Potty Training • 100% outdoor potty trained • Excellent potty habits and routine awareness 🚶 Exercise & Walks Ailee enjoys walks and outdoor adventures, though she is not an excessively high-energy dog. She may not immediately run into a stranger’s arms, but she builds deep, meaningful trust with the people who give her patience and consistency. Once settled, she becomes incredibly affectionate, loyal, and emotionally connected. 💛 Why Ailee Ailee is the kind of dog who quietly becomes your shadow. Gentle, observant, calm, and deeply loving, she brings a peaceful presence into the home and forms exceptionally rewarding bonds with the people she trusts.
