Sammi 💛 Female • Terrier Mix • 11 years old Meet Sammi 💛 Sammi is the kind of dog who quietly steals your heart without even trying. After the heartbreaking loss of her owner, this sweet senior girl found herself displaced and in a shelter — something we see far too often in rescue. Thankfully, one of our fosters stepped in, and Sammi has been reminding everyone ever since that older dogs still have so much love, joy, and life left to give. And Sammi truly does. She has settled beautifully into foster care and absolutely loves being part of a family and a dog pack. She lives comfortably with dogs of all sizes, does wonderfully with cats, and has proven herself to be the perfect little house guest. She’s house trained, affectionate, easygoing, and happiest when she’s included in everyday life. Sammi doesn’t just want a home — she wants to be part of your everyday life. Whether she’s sunning herself in the yard, curled up beside her people on the couch, or piled into bed with her humans and furry foster siblings, Sammi is happiest when she feels connected, included, and loved. She has a calm, comforting presence about her, but don’t let the “senior” label fool you — this girl still has plenty of pep in her step, personality, and zest for life. She enjoys exploring the yard, soaking up the sunshine, following her people around the house, and being right in the middle of whatever the family is doing. The rescue recently provided Sammi with a much-needed dental, and she’s feeling so much better and ready for her next chapter. What Sammi wants now is simple: a soft place to land, people to love, sunny spots to nap in, and a family who will cherish her through her golden years. In return, she’ll give you the kind of companionship only senior dogs can offer — gentle, grateful, comforting, and deeply loving. Sammi has already experienced loss. We would love nothing more than for the rest of her story to be filled with warmth, safety, soft blankets, and love. 💛
