AvailableGriffy is a senior male Terrier with a medium build, currently living in Candler, NC. He is neutered and vaccinated, and he’s house trained. Griffy does best as the only pet in a cat-free home, and he prefers a living environment where someone is around much of the time.
About Griffy
Griffy is an older Terrier with an easygoing nature who likes to stick close to his people. He’s at his happiest following you around the house, curling up on the sofa, or snoozing in your bed at night. Griffy walks well on leash and enjoys getting out for strolls, plus he’s always up for a car ride. He’s house trained and makes daily life pretty straightforward—except when he’s left home alone. Griffy doesn’t care for alone time and will bark to voice his disapproval, so apartment life or homes with shared walls may not be the best match. He’s also not a fan of cats and will chase them given the opportunity, so a feline-free home suits him best. Griffy is neutered, microchipped, current on vaccines, heartworm negative, and has his preventatives up to date. Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now!

Questions about Griffy
What type of living environment is this breed usually best suited for?
Griffy, as a terrier, usually does best in a home with space to explore and attentive companions. Terriers can adapt to houses with yards or quieter residential neighborhoods, but Griffy would thrive away from apartment settings, especially since he barks when left alone.
How much outdoor space does this breed typically need?
Terriers like Griffy appreciate daily walks and some time in a secure yard, but they do not require a massive amount of land. Regular exercise outside keeps them happy and healthy.
Is this breed typically suitable for homes with children?
Many terriers are quite adaptable and can be good with older, respectful children. Given Griffy's age and gentle demeanor, he would likely be comfortable with calm kids who understand boundaries.
