About Delilah

Meet Delilah! Delilah is a 7-year-old female Cavalier King Charles Spaniel who weighs 25 pounds. She is a puppy mill survivor and filled with nothing but love and affection despite her traumatic start to life. She is more than ready to leave her past behind her and enjoy her new life & family! Delilah is loving, sweet & gentle! She is fostered with another dog and a cat - and does great with them both! She is still working on her potty training and will need time to adjust to a new routine. She enjoys exploring and sniffing around in a fenced-in backyard. Delilah is low energy and content to spend her day relaxing around the house. She is still working on her leash training and will need some time to get used to going on walks. It was discovered that Delilah does have a grade 2 heart murmur which will need monitoring in the future. Delilah loves to follow her foster parents from room to room and prefers to be close to them at all times. Her future family will never be lonely as she provides a constant, calming companionship. She enjoys napping in a cozy dog bed, tasting yummy treats and hanging out with her foster fur siblings! Delilah greets everyone with a hearty tail wag. Delilah is ready to share her big heart with her forever family! She is fostered in Cincinnati, OH. Apply today! Her adoption fee is $450.00. To adopt this animal, please visit https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt All of our animals come spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, are microchipped, heartworm negative, current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention, dewormed, and treated for any ailments found upon veterinary examination. The adoption fee covers a portion of these services, and makes it possible for us to continue rescuing animals. For more information on the adoption fees and the adoption process, please complete our adoption application here: https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt - an application allows us to get to know your family better so we can assess whether the animal you are interested in is a good match for your home. An application does not obligate you to adopt. Please understand that due to the volume of applications some animals receive, we are unable to contact all applicants. If your application is considered a good fit for the animal you are interested in, or even a different pet, a volunteer will give you a call as soon as possible. We are a foster based rescue and do not have a shelter location where animals can be seen during the week. Please see our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/LouiesLegacy for our weekly adoption album if you are interested in meeting an animal in person. Not all animals attend every adoption event, please check our Facebook page for animal event times and locations before you make a trip to meet a specific animal.
