Delta comes to us as an owner surrender after his owner — his second owner — experienced major life changes that resulted in the loss of housing for herself. With nowhere to go that would allow Delta to stay with her, she made the difficult but responsible decision to surrender him, knowing we would do our best to find Delta his forever home. She shared that this sweet boy did well with children who visited the home and got along with other dogs. While we do not know how fully housebroken he is, with proper and consistent training along with patience, this smart boy should learn quickly. Since arriving at the shelter, Delta has already met a similar-sized spayed female, and it was instant tail wags. He walked around giving sniffs, soliciting play, and soon there were zooms and play bows. As always, we recommend meet-and-greets with other dogs and children to ensure a great match for all. Delta was not a big fan of his medical exam and sang the Husky songs while being restrained, but considering how new and stressful this transition is after leaving a home where he was very loved, nerves were certainly a factor.
