About Winnie
Winnie is a 4 1/2-year-old female Schnauzer-terrier mix who weighs about 50 lbs. She spent her early years in a loving home, where she grew up around children and another senior dog. Winnie is fully house and crate trained, and she handles walks on a lead with ease. She's also dependable off-leash and didn't wander, even in an unfenced yard. Around people—including children—Winnie has never shown food or treat guarding, making her remarkably gentle and safe for family interaction. However, she did become possessive of treats around the other dog in her home as she matured, which led to some conflict and her eventual return. Because of this, she’s likely best as a single dog. Her appearance is striking, her manner affectionate, and she would fit well in a home that’s ready for her loyalty and cool character. Winnie gets along well with children and cats, but she should be the only dog in the house. Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now!
