Sammy is a gentle, laid-back boy with a sweet and quiet personality. While he may be shy, he absolutely loves pets and chin scratches and will happily soak up the affection from his favorite people. Sammy is a sensitive soul who can be startled by loud noises and busy environments, so he would do best in a calmer home where he can relax and settle in at his own pace. He's nervous around other cats, but may do okay with a calm, respectful dog that will give him plenty of space. He enjoys playtime with wand toys and has a playful side once he feels safe and secure. He isn't a big fan of being held, though he will tolerate it when needed. Because of his shy nature, Sammy would likely do best in a home with older children who can understand and respect his boundaries. Sammy does require a urinary diet, as he has had urinary crystals in the past, so his future family will need to help keep him on the appropriate food to support his health.
