Hi! My name is Maxy, and I’m a black tabby boy born 03/27/2026. As you can tell from my pictures, I’m a scruffy, charming, confident little dude! I’m in the market for a forever home full of love, laughter, and laps for me to snuggle in. My days are typically pretty busy. What with playing, socializing, cuddling, and eating, I've got a lot of commitments to attend to! I prefer to live life to the fullest and I never do anything halfway. I always want to be part of the action, and I won’t hesitate to speak up if I’m feeling left out. I can zoom and play for HOURS and I’m not afraid to be acrobatic. My foster mom says I must have popcorn kernels in my toes, judging by all the hopping and popping and jumping I do. Wand toys are my favorite because I get to jump in the air, chase them around, and leap off the furniture to catch my “prey.” I love to play with humans or wrestle with another cat, but I can also entertain myself if everyone else is busy. Once I’m ready to wind down for a while, I’ll make myself comfortable in whatever room my humans are in. Laps are my favorite places to nap, although sometimes I just curl up to get cuddles while I stare at you adoringly. but sometimes you might find me in a sunbeam or a heated cat bed, watching birds out the window, or sleeping in my favorite cubby hole. My ideal home would have space for me to run and climb, lots of toys, and humans who can keep up with my energy. You could say I’m a bit of a wild child! I love kids and I make sure I never use my claws when I’m playing, but I can go a little crazy when I’m overstimulated or overexcited. I might not be a good fit for homes with young children or old cats. I’m not a big fan of dogs, but I could probably get used to one if they’re polite and don’t chase after me. I LOVE being around other cats, but I can be pushy about wanting to play, so older cats might find me annoying. When it comes to eating, my foster mom says I’m a “total gremlin” about my favorite foods and treats. I’m trying to learn better manners, but sometimes I just want to grab the whole package of food out of your hand and run away. What can I say? I’m a growing boy, and I need plenty of calories to make up for all the playing I do all day! Besides, you’ll forgive me the moment I jump in your lap and start my purr motor.
