Sassafras Swirl is exactly as his name suggests: part sweet, part sass. He’s a fan of mealtime advocacy—you’ll never forget dinner with him around. Once fed, he’s quick to demand attention, vocal and insistent on pets and scritches. Sassafras has clear opinions and no hesitation about sharing them. When he isn’t championing meal alerts, Sassafras transforms into a true lap cat. He’ll curl up for a film, stretch out in a sunbeam, and swat at a mouse toy like it owes him money. He’s religious about his scratching posts and keeps his litter box spotless. Sassafras doesn’t jump headfirst into the unknown; instead, he prefers a cautious approach, especially with odd noises or unfamiliar scenes. His conspiracy theorist Halloween costume wasn’t just for laughs. Having landed back indoors after a short, confusing stint outside, Sassafras remembers what home is. He found the nearest garden bed to do his business until a foster stepped in and gave him a chance back inside—a place he’s truly thriving. Interaction with other cats is still a work in progress for him, as his street stint didn’t give him much practice.
