Checkerboard is a handsome young brown and white tabby boy with a goofy personality and a heart full of love. Equal parts playful and cuddly, he's the kind of cat who can turn almost anything into a game - especially catnip kickers, jingly balls, and climbing adventures on his cat tree. When playtime winds down, though, he's more than happy to claim the softest spot in the house for a nap or soak up attention from his favorite people. This sweet guy has a wonderful balance of energy and calm, making him a great fit for many different homes. He gets along very well with other cats and has been fantastic with kids of all ages. While he hasn't met dogs during his time in rescue, his easygoing personality suggests he would likely do well with a slow introduction. Checkerboard is fully litter trained and comfortable being picked up, though he's also content simply hanging out nearby. One thing you may notice is the scar on one of his eyes.
