The wound injuries on the left side are not as fresh and believed to have been the result of a dog attack - no doubt mom was defending her newborn kittens... On top of everything she is full of milk and no kittens to be found at any of the neighboring properties. To help prevent mastitis you use warm cabbage leaves as warm cloth compresses so she received those every 3 to 4 hours until we got her checked out at the vet and on the mend.
