About Pidgey Fiv C

Hi my name is Pidgey and I am from Minnesota! Pidgey (we called him Raisin) is truly one of those special kitties. He has a super fun and outgoing personality and likes to be part of the action. He always has to be in the same room as us and will follow us from room to room. Unless he's zonked out somewhere, usually between our pillows on our bed or in the sunshine. He is super quick to purr, even if it's a simple pet hello or a quick pick up. One of the things I love most about him is he's very brave and determined but also really sweet. From the Vet: Pidgey is Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV) positive, FIV in cats typically causes a lifelong weakening of the cat's immune system. FIV is spread to other cats through deep penetrative bite wounds resulting in blood. This is not spreadable to humans, dogs, or other animals besides cats. Pidgey may require more medical care in the future depending on how her FIV progresses, however many cats live long, normal lifespans while infected. Pidgey tested positive for Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV) when she was 2 months old. We recommend an adopter retest Pidgey at 6 months of age to confirm a positive test.
