Meet Valentine (“Little Val”) 💕 - Currently in Need of a Foster Home where She Can Undergo Heartworm Treatment (paid for by rescue). Adoption will be finalized once treatment is complete. If you’re looking for a loyal, affectionate companion who wants nothing more than to be near her people, Little Val may be your perfect match. This sweet girl loves being wherever you are—lounging on the couch, following you from room to room, or hanging out in the bathroom while you shower because she enjoys the warm steam. She’s incredibly people-oriented and happiest when she’s close to her humans. Little Val has wonderful house manners. She goes potty outside very well, has never pooped in the house, and only had accidents when she wasn’t feeling well. She’s also very tolerant during baths and takes treats gently from your hand. While she started out wanting mostly rest and snuggles, as she’s begun feeling better her playful side has started to shine through! She’s become more energetic, enjoys interacting with her people, and is clearly starting to feel like herself again. She still loves a relaxed lifestyle, though. Walks are slow-paced and easygoing, and she would much rather cuddle on the couch than run a marathon. She gets along well with calm, passive dogs and prefers peaceful companions over rough or pushy personalities. Her foster has yet to even hear her bark! She settles nicely in her space, doesn’t look to escape the yard, and is overall just an easy girl to have around. She’s also surprisingly low-drool and doesn’t really snore—something bulldog lovers will especially appreciate. Valentine is currently heartworm positive and will need a calm, committed home to help her through treatment and recovery. The rescue will be sponsoring her heartworm treatment, but because treatment requires minimizing stress and activity, we are looking for either a foster or foster-to-adopt home that can provide stability and a peaceful environment as she begins this next chapter. Despite everything she’s been through, Valentine remains incredibly loving, gentle, and easy to adore. She truly just wants a soft place to land and someone to love her forever. We think whoever opens their heart to this sweet girl is going to be very, very lucky 💖
