Havarti is a quiet, 10-year-old spayed female who found her way out of the cold by hopping into a warm car. When rescued, she was shivering and too thin, her belly unusually large and sore. After surgery for a hernia and a long, restful recovery, she’s now much more comfortable. Havarti takes a few daily medications to stay healthy and lives with FIV, which doesn’t seem to slow her down or bother her at all. She loves human attention, enjoys batting at toys, and prefers lazy days in sunbeams or curling up in a plush bed. She gets along well with other cats and small dogs but doesn’t mind being an only pet. Respectful, gentle kids are just fine by her.
