Carmen was found on the streets of Puerto Rico, but her friendliness showed from day one—she approaches people with nothing but tail wags and a joyful spirit. She adores attention, thrives on companionship, and has no shortage of zoomies. She needs someone who can keep up with her, ideally a seasoned dog owner who understands herding breeds and can offer patient, consistent training. Carmen picks up new skills quickly and has made great progress since December. Apartment life isn't for her; she benefits most from a house with a fenced yard. She bonds closely with other playful, tolerant dogs and gets along well with kids over ten—though rough play can be her style. Homes with cats are not a match for her personality.
