All interested people should submit an adoption application as their first step. Lucy started off as a stray, surviving the streets with her kittens. Her and her kittens were cared for and loved by GDHS. They were all adopted out. Lucy has found her way back to us, through no fault of her own. She is very sad, scared, and anxious. Her foster is working very hard with her to gain her trust and get her comfortable. Even though she is scared, she allows her foster to love her and pat her. All pets adopted from GDHS are spayed or neutered, have vaccinations brought up to date, are on heartworm preventative (dogs), FIV/FELV tested (cats) and microchipped. The Greater Derry Humane Society does not have a physical shelter, and all visits are by appointment only.
