Mango is great with other dogs and children but does not get along with cats. She is currently fostered near Luttrell, TN and weighs around 35 lbs.

Meet Mango, an attentive and energetic Australian Cattle Dog / Blue Heeler who brings a big mix of spunk and heart. This medium-coated, tricolor girl thrives outdoors and is happiest when playing fetch, hiking, or chewing on a sturdy toy. Mango is crate-trained and reliable in her routines, but still working on house training. Once she feels safe, her loyal, affectionate side shines through—she tends to attach closely to her trusted people and wants nothing more than to be part of whatever you're doing. Mango is best suited for someone with experience handling herding breeds or a home where she can channel her intelligence and energy into real tasks. She’s intensely smart and eager to please, always looking for ways to help, but needs plenty of mental and physical activity to avoid boredom or anxiety. Mango is people-focused with those she knows, yet anxious and sometimes nippy with strangers. Her herding instinct comes out in gentle nose nudges and the occasional nip. She’s on daily thyroid medication; even with this, she’s alert, responsive to commands, and very trainable for someone interested in working with a clever dog. Mango does well with other dogs (male and female) but needs a cat-free home. She's microchipped, heartworm negative, and being fostered near Luttrell, TN.
