About Dewey
Dewey is ready for a new chapter after being found abandoned at a golf course with two other hounds. Weeks in foster care made it clear heâs a classic houndâfull of personality, sharp nose, and plenty of curiosity. Heâs vocal, sure, but under that signature bark is a genuinely affectionate, sweet dog who likes to stick close to his people and soak up attention. Born around December 21, Dewey is a Sagittarius, known for adventurous spiritsâand thatâs Dewey to a T. He thrives on exploration and needs space to sniff, roam, and investigate every scent the world has to offer. His ideal home has a securely fenced yard and people willing to commit to training, structure, and positive reinforcement. Dewey is house trained, neutered, and up to date on vaccinations. He isnât the best fit for houses with other dogs, cats, or small children, but with patient owners who understand hounds, heâll settle right in. Dog meet-and-greets are by appointment only.
