About Lox

Meet Lox! He was picked up with his sister after being abandoned in a Flint park and, from the start, ran right up to his foster for attention. Since then, Lox has steadily been making friends, both human and canine. Estimated at around a year and a half old with German Shepherd Mix looks, he currently weighs about 50 lbs and still needs to put on a bit more weight. Lox is a sweet, goofy dog who enjoys running around the yard and never misses an opportunity to ask for belly rubs by flopping at your feet. He settles well in his crate, travels comfortably in the car, and shows a lot of affection to his people. Training-wise, he could use some work on manners—puppy classes would be good for him—but he makes up for it with his gentle approach and eagerness to please. Lox gets along with other dogs and respectfully gives older dogs their space after gentle reminders. With cats, he has shown some prey drive, but with proper training and time, could likely learn to coexist peacefully. He has met children in his foster home and mostly ignores them, showing calmness and tolerance. Lox is neutered, up to date on vaccines, house trained, and currently in Macomb Twp, MI. He’s available for meet and greets by appointment. If you are searching for a silly, affectionate pup who just wants a second chance, Lox may be a perfect fit. Lets make it official, apply to adopt!
