About Barbos

Barbos had a rough start after being left behind by his original family and trying to fit in with street cats, but his gentle nature just wasn’t suited for that world. When approached, he didn’t hesitate—he walked right into a carrier, off to a new chapter. Barbos is estimated to be between 2 and 3 years old, now neutered, vaccinated, and tested for FIV and FeLV. He’s FeLV negative, but does live with FIV. That hasn’t slowed him down; FIV is manageable, and Barbos is living proof. He needed a lot of dental work and lost sixteen teeth, but he’s recovered well and is more comfortable than ever. Barbos is the textbook definition of an affectionate cat. He truly loves attention and people, greets visitors eagerly, and soaks up every bit of affection. He gets along well with other cats and children and needs a home where he’ll be loved in return—no more abandonment in his future. Barbos is being fostered in Brooklyn, but transport can be arranged throughout NYC, Long Island, and New Jersey. Your new best friend is just one click away.
