Suki, known endearingly as “Ducki,” is an energetic, people-loving bully-type mix with the playful attitude of a very young dog. Although estimated at 3–4 years old, her puppy-like enthusiasm casts some doubt on her exact age. Weighing in between 35–40 pounds, Suki contains equal parts love, smarts, and pure excitement. Everyone she meets is immediately a friend, and she’s quick to offer affection—sometimes launching herself at you with joy. Her athleticism is real; someone interested in disc or other dog sports will be impressed. Suki isn’t for those seeking an easy, low-key companion. She craves physical activity and, even more, mental challenges. Structured daily training truly sparks her joy and she picks up cues with impressive speed, making her a fantastic fit for experienced handlers interested in advanced obedience, tricks, agility, hiking, or similar. Without consistent engagement, she’ll find her own ways to burn off energy—which can mean exuberant jumping or excitable, high-pitched barking. This isn’t out of aggression, just overwhelm and excitement. She’s working hard on impulse control and focus and doing incredibly well, though strong guidance continues to serve her best. Around other dogs, Suki does best with a patient, balanced canine companion or a confident, knowledgeable owner who understands arousal management. She’s shown significant social progress with different dog personalities, thanks to continued structure and correction.
