Mr. Darcy is a handsome gray and white man that came to us from a complicated 17 cat neglect situation. He's a very sweet and gentle guy, curious and wants to follow people around and know what's going on, but he hasn't had a lot of experience being pet in his life. He doesn't HATE it, but he sometimes gets confused when a friendly hand comes towards him and he'll run away. But! We have been spending time socializing him and he's made big steps, and we think he will continue to thrive and open up in his forever home. In a perfect world, Mr. Darcy would go home with another kitty from the 17 cat situation, OR to a home with another friendly cat to show him the ropes. Dogs would probably be scary, but he's gentle enough for kids. -- Every PALS cat and kitten has been spayed/neutered, microchipped, tested negative for FeLV/FIV and is up-to-date on vaccinations. A note about kittens: if you are adopting a kitten, they may need to complete their FVRCP (distemper) series and may not be old enough for their rabies vaccination. These essential vaccines will be the responsibility of their new owner. Detailed vet records and a calendar of vaccination due dates will be provided. The PALS Adoption Center, located inside PetSmart at 10 Traders Way in Salem, MA (just off Highland Ave/Rte 107) BY APPOINTMENT ONLY TO APPROVED ADOPTERS. Adoption applications can be found online at www.palscats.org. A completed application is not necessarily an approved application. We do ask for written landlord approval if you rent, or proof of home ownership (water bill, etc.) We will also check your vet references. You will be contacted by our adoption staff once your application has been approved. Please note it can take up to 48 hours.
